Confession: My girls do not have baby books. I can't remember their first words or when they took their first steps. What I do have are piles of photos which often record milestones despite myself.

Super Seven!
Every year the girls choose a theme for their birthday and dress up to match. This year they chose Wonder Woman and Batgirl. They were superheroes for their birthday but supervillains (Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn) for Halloween.

Baby ~ Sophia
Introducing my newest niece Sophia!
It's still hard to believe she's real since her parents (my brother and his wife) were told they couldn't have any more kids after she almost died giving birth to their son over nine years ago. What an amazing miracle and fun surprise to find out a baby was on her way!
Even though I was there for her arrival, a last minute decision for a c-section made it impossible for me to photograph her birth so I decided to focus on the moment her big brother met her for the first time the next day. I also had fun doing a few posey pics when she came home a few days later. She'd better get used to auntie's camera like all her big cousins. Look at that sweet little face!

Project ~ Grandma's Wedding Dress (Vivian)
It was Vivian's turn to wear her grandma's (my mom's) wedding dress for a shoot. She's quite a bit smaller than her older sister who wore it last time so we were able to style it longer and push up the sleeves. We added the ears to make it even more different since their hair is similar. He sister's shoot was in the woods so we thought it would be fun to do this one at the beach.

Personal ~ Ewoks
Since making these Ewok costumes a few years ago we've been planning to take them outside. We finally had our opportunity when we got a break in our recent heatwave. It was dry but not ridiculously hot. These suits are cozy! We headed out to our favorite woods and just ran around. This was also my first chance to try a brenizer shot since I hadn't had the processing power until just recently.
