Personal ~ Twinkle, Twinkle!

Have I ever told you how much I love twinkle lights?! I've been planning to set some up in my studio for awhile and I finally got around to it. While the girls were still sleeping I used Daphne as my test subject and by the time they were awake it was dark outside and the lights were the only thing lighting the room. Just looking at these photos gets me excited for the upcoming holidays but I promise I won't actually start decorating for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. ;)
My little brother/assistant became my test subject also. Can you say Christmas card photo?

Personal ~ Easter

It's rare to have an Easter Sunday where we don't have formal plans, but this was one of those times. We decided it would be possibly our only chance to go to the Skagit Tulip Festival this season so we headed out after first taking some quick Easter dress photos in the living room. Since my parents also came down, they were able to snap a couple shots of all of us in the very windy tulip fields.
I had to wipe Violet's nose and she was not happy about it. I'm such a meany!

~Personal~ Daphne and the Girls

Daphne loves her new babies and brings all of her favorite toys (including her broken hanger) over to their blankie to share.

~Personal~ Kitties

Our kitty Laverne never seems to get enough attention, so when my nieces come to visit, she's more than happy to let them pet her. All twenty or so pounds of her!

~Personal~ Daphne

The new edition to our family! Daphne is a long-haired chihuahua born on Easter 2009. She doesn't mind having her picture taken so I think we'll keep her!

~Pet~ Jason & Boo

Boo was more than happy to oblige our photo session since it meant taking a walk down a forest path and playing in a tall grassy field. At the end of the walk he jumped in a swamp and got really muddy. Fortunately we'd gotten plenty of clean shots by then.
